2012 Q-School Contest

The West Florida Golf Tour is excited to announce the format and prizes for this years Q-School Payout. With the excitement that last years match play produced, we have decided to use the same format to pay out the 2012 winner with only minor changes. The match play final this year will be 16 spots as opposed to last years 12, which will increase the drama of the final and open up 4 more spots for our players. Like last year, the money list will be the determining factor for seeding. Any event on our schedule (1,2 or 3 dayer, team, pro/am) will be a chance to qualify as we look to make sure that a loyal supporter is crowned the Champion!

We will have two qualifying periods that will split up our fall and winter seasons, as well as 4 monthly majors all of which are listed below:

Qualifying Periods

September 1st, 2011 - December 19th, 2011 (4 Spots)

January 1st, 2012 - April 30th, 2012 (8 Spots)

January 28th & 29th - Manatee County Open (1 spot to winner)

February 18th & 19th - Lakewood Ranch Open (1 spot to winner)

March 14th & 15th - King of the Lake Open (1 spot to winner)

April 23rd, 24th & 25th - Hillborough County Open (1 spot to winner)

*** If a winner of one of our 4 majors also locks up a spot in the points race, then the next player on the Order of Merit list will be eligible for the match play***

Prizes

16 qualifying players - will receive a gift voucher for an entry into any of our 1 day events as well as having their membership extended 3 months ($250 value).

Match Play winner - will receive their 2012 PGA TOUR Q-School entry fee paid for by the WFGT ($4,500 value).
