Bradenton, Florida. Jake Scott had a career day yesterday at Bardenton Country Club firing a (-10) 61 and matching the course record held by Sean Jacklin. Scott made 11 birdies to just 1 bogey en route to his first West Florida Golf Tour victory. The Donald Ross design didn't dissapoint, as players raved about course conditions.
Palmetto, Florida. Omar Morales torched The Moc Monday morning to the tune of seven birdies and one eagle in-route to a (-8) 64 and a two shot victory over Beau Brault and Christian DiMarco.
Lakewood Ranch, Florida. Amateur Joshua Stewart was the only player to shoot 2 sub par rounds Monday at the wind swept Ritz Carlton in Lakewood Ranch. With wind blowing most of the day, Stewart managed rounds of 70, 71 (-3) to claim the title.
Brooksville, Florida. Hunter Fry got a much needed win Tuesday at Southern Hills Plantation. The Bonita Bay resident had been close in recent weeks, but finally broke through after a one day, two round total of (-8) 136 to win by one over Zach Mandry. Rounding out the top 3 was this year Order of Merit leader Blake Dyer at (-6).
Tampa, Florida. Jake Peacock fired a bogey free (-6) 66 and then birdied the first playoff hole to defeat Tomas Cocha at Tampa Palms Golf & Country Club Wednesday afternoon. Rounding out the top three was Odessa resident Hunter Howell.
Orlando, Florida. Orange Tree Golf Club was once again in the spotlight as the WFGT launched its first ever LIV style golf Individual/Team Championship on Monday. Loopers GC won the team title with a (-8) 134 over Eastern Michigan who finished at (-5) 137. Former All American and Frenchman Alexandre Fuchs went bogey free to take home the individual title with a (-8) 64. The next LIV style event will be next month at River Hills.
